Hi, I'm Ellen and I founded Sunshine Puzzles.
Puzzling has been a part of my life since childhood – piece by piece, part by part. It's simply in my DNA. With Sunshine Puzzles, I wanted to create puzzles that are not off the shelf, but colorful, cheerful, and full of little stories – perfect for smiling, marveling, and enjoying time together.
In our studio in Hamburg, we now create designs that combine adventure, humor, and creativity, captivating people worldwide. Our community constantly inspires us with new ideas – resulting in puzzles that are fun and bring joy.
Thanks to the support of our fantastic community, our very first 'Happy Sunshine' campaign launched on Kickstarter in 2022. Three lovingly designed puzzle motifs captivated our backers and laid the foundation for Sunshine Puzzles.
In 2024, our Kickstarter campaign for the first Mister Burgerman adventures launched. The community was thrilled and made the funding possible – allowing the first exciting puzzle adventures to become a reality.
Packaging with social value
The packaging of our mini-puzzles is carried out in cooperation with a social partner enterprise in Hamburg, which provides meaningful work and fair participation opportunities for people with disabilities. A passion project that is an integral part of our brand.
Thoughtfully sustainable – from carton to bag
Our puzzles are made of sturdy puzzle cardboard from 100% recycled paper and are produced in a climate-friendly way in Turkey. We deliberately avoid film packaging: the puzzle boxes are only sealed with two stickers. Inside, a resealable zip bag protects the puzzle pieces – even with frequent use.
Recyclable bags from Europe
Our mini puzzles come in sturdy plastic bags that are produced in the EU and are fully recyclable – durable, lightweight, and made with minimal material use.
Designed with love – and produced with purpose
All designs are created in our studio with great attention to detail. We personally test each motif and deliberately produce in smaller editions – for puzzle enjoyment with character, quality, and attitude.

Ich liebe Franzbrötchen und Puzzles! Daher könnte ich an diesem Puzzle einfach nicht vorbei gehen. Die Teile sind zwar klein aber nicht zu klein. Mal sehen was ich als nächstes puzzle!

A colorful puzzle with lots of different shapes and patterns. this puzzle could be a bit challenging if you're a beginner puzzler, perfect for a family quality time especially for the weekend. 🤗
